STEP-BY-STEP MENU GUIDE

How to create a restaurant menu and export a PDF

Start with a catalog of dishes, then create a menu from that catalog. The catalog holds your data; the menu defines its content, languages, order and design. Export the result for standard printing, a print shop or your own website.

01 — HOW IT WORKS

From a dish list to a finished menu

  1. 01

Create a catalog and add dishes

Sign up, create a catalog and set the restaurant, currency and languages. Enter dishes manually or open import and download the XLSX / CSV template. Add categories, prices and photos.

  2. 02

    Create and design your menu

Choose dishes, menu languages, page format and design. Set colours, fonts, density and category order. Supply your own translations and combine languages or prepare separate versions.

  3. 03

Review pages and download a PDF

Check pages, photos, prices and warnings about incomplete dishes. Choose standard printing or the print-shop profile in the download dialog. The first three pages are free; a complete PDF requires active paid access or a promo code.

Your own style

02 — FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Are the catalog and saved menu the same thing?

No. A saved menu keeps its own snapshot. Editing the catalog does not automatically overwrite a saved menu; update its content separately.

Do all dishes need photos?

No. Start with names, categories and prices, then add photos later. Choose which fields to display and review the preview.

Are translations automatic?

No. You supply the translations. A catalog can have up to three languages, combined in one menu or used in separate language versions.

Which PDF profile should I choose?

Choose the standard profile for screen viewing and ordinary printing. The print-shop profile adds 3 mm bleed and crop marks. Confirm paper, colour and file acceptance requirements with your printer.

Can I see a result without signing up?

Yes. The demo and complete sample PDF are public. Sign up to save your own catalog and menu.

How much does full PDF export cost?

Creating a catalog and editing menus is free. Export the first 3 pages of your own menu for free. Full PDF export has no page restriction and requires a subscription: $30 per 30 days. Subscriptions renew automatically; check the price, currency and period before paying. Pricing and subscription details →
